Convocatoria abierta para artistas:
Connecting Cultures through Creativity is a celebration of the cultural diversity of our region through art. This call for artists is a paid opportunity for two individuals who are a part of the immigrant, refugee and New American communities across Minnesota to share their cultural heritage through their creative practice.
We are seeking artists who will demonstrate their cultural art form, whether it be through painting, sculpture, jewelry making, writing, music, dance, performance, or any other medium at the Kaddatz Galleries in Fergus Falls on Thursday, September 19, 2024 as a part of Welcoming Week, an annual campaign and celebration to showcase the movement of communities striving to be more welcoming places for all, including immigrants and refugees. This event will be open to the public and will provide a platform for the selected artist to share their story and connect with others in our community. To apply, please fill out the submission form below or send an email to [email protected]. For email submissions, please include a brief description of your art form and a short bio that includes your cultural background and artistic experience. The stipend for the selected artist is $250.00; we welcome all levels of experience and encourage emerging artists to apply. The deadline to apply is Saturday, September 14th at 11:45pm CST. This event is sponsored by West Central Initiative. |
