Call for Artists: Whimsy & Wonder

Kaddatz Galleries invites early career and established local and regional artists to apply for a group exhibition which will be held in January + February of 2025 in our Main Gallery. This is an open call for all artists who: Currently reside in the 9-County region of West Central Minnesota OR have a strong local connection.* These counties include: Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin.
As we welcome 2025, let's celebrate the joy that life offers in all its forms. We invite artists to submit works that embody the essence of joy through Whimsy and Wonder—capturing moments of boundless elation or the quiet contentment found in everyday life. We are seeking pieces that reflect happiness, love, and the simple pleasures that bring joy to our lives. Share your personal expression of joy and help usher in the new year with a sense of gratitude and celebration. All 2D and 3D visual art mediums are welcome to apply; work must have been completed within the last five years. Submitted artwork may or may not be for sale depending on artist preference.
To be considered, artists must use the form below to submit 2-5 images and an artist bio. Artists may include an artist statement, social media handles and/or a link to a website; previous exhibition experience not required. Deadline for submission is November 15th, 2024. Selected artists will be notified the week of December 2 - 6, 2024, at which time they will receive a gallery exhibition agreement as well as further instructions about art drop off and pick up. Artists will be responsible for dropping off and picking up their work. Questions can be directed to: [email protected]

If that's you, your current geography - if outside of the 9-county region - does not exclude you from this opportunity and we simply ask that you share which community/county you feel a strong connection to in the submission form below.
